Penguins Updates As The Signing Spree Continues

Thank you to my Pittsburgh source Silly Jenie for the following information:

The Pittsburgh Penguins signed goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury to a seven-year, $35 million dollar contract, the third long-term deal inked with one of their younger players in two days. Penguins GM Ray Shero is holding a news conference at 4:30 p.m. today. To me, this is the biggest signing as Fleury has proven he is a top goalie in this leave and for $5 million a year averaged out, Penguins fan are thanking God everywhere.

Also,The Penguins have signed forward Ruslan Fedotenko to a one-year contract and forward Eric Godard to a three-year contract, it was announced Thursday by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero.

One question that Silly Jenie posed and has been reported that I think all Pens fan would love to hear, is Jagr seriously considering a return to the team who drafted him? After watching how well he played for the Rangers/Penguins series, that would be a huge addition for this team not to mention it was only a month or so ago that Jagr was stating it was either the Rangers or retirement. I would think even if its a one or two year deal, if the Pens have the cap space, this is the guy who would make Pens fans have confidence after losing Hossa, Malone and Rutuu.
